As a bilingual clinician, I conduct these interviews in Spanish or English, ensuring that your story is heard with precision—without the barrier of an interpreter. These evaluations are comprehensive (typically 8 to 10 pages) and are designed to support your legal case with clinical evidence.

What to expect: the evaluation process
I keep the process straightforward so attorneys and clients know exactly what to expect at each step.
Phone consultation — We start with a brief call to review the case, confirm fit, and discuss any time constraints or specific legal requirements. I also connected with your lawyer to ensure I have all the needed information for our assessment.
Document review — I review any relevant case materials you share before the interview.
Clinical interview — The evaluation session runs 4–8 hours and is conducted in the client's preferred language — Spanish or English. Sessions are available in person or via telehealth, and on weekends upon request.
Report writing — I complete a comprehensive written evaluation, typically 8–10 pages, within 5 business days of the interview.
Report delivery — The final report is delivered securely and formatted for direct submission with your legal filing.
What's included in the report
Every evaluation includes a full psychosocial history, a clinical interview narrative, relevant diagnostic impressions using DSM-5-TR criteria where applicable, and a clear connection between the client's psychological presentation and the legal standard at issue — whether that is the harm suffered under VAWA or the qualifying criminal activity and its impact under the U visa. Reports are written for USCIS officers and immigration judges, not just clinicians. Additionally, if the assessment was conducted in Spanish, you will get a Spanish copy of the report so you can be confident about what is going on in your case.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with six years of clinical experience working with Latino communities in Minnesota. I am a first-generation immigrant, a former college professor, and the President of the Minnesota Jungian Society — and I bring that full background to every evaluation I conduct.
My training in depth psychology means I go beyond surface-level symptom checklists. I understand how trauma, culture, identity, and immigration experience intersect — and I know how to document that intersection in language that is clinically rigorous and legally useful. I conduct all evaluations in Spanish or English, without an interpreter, so your client's story appears on the page exactly as they told it.
